P & C Association
Meetings of the Ashgrove State School Parents’ and Citizens’ Association (P&C) are held in the JB Stephens Building at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of every month unless otherwise advised through the school newsletter. All parents are invited to become members of the P and C and are warmly welcomed at the meetings and encouraged to become actively involved in the school.
Meetings provide a forum for discussion on a variety of issues related to the school, its students and curriculum. Minutes of the P&C Meetings are available for parents to view via the Parent Lounge.
The P&C Association fulfill a major role in the school through fundraising activities which are also important social events. The annual fete is our major fundraising event and other social activities are also organised for the benefit of the school and the school community. The P and C Association also provide services such as the tuckshop and uniform shop.
The P&C Executive can be contacted via email: firstname.lastname@example.org

The school P & C Association supports an Excellence Fund to assist parents with sport costs when students are selected to compete in their chosen field at a Regional level or equivalent. The intention is to provide recognition for significant achievement and assist in offsetting some of the costs incurred particularly where travel is involved. This monetary amount is dependent on the destination of the student’s activity and is available by application to the P & C.
Applications will only be considered for those students whose parents have paid the P & C contribution and/or those parents who contribute to the school community through working voluntarily throughout the school.
